You'll
find few towns in Southern Ontario with as much character and charm
as Georgetown. Originally founded in 1823, the town has been a bustling
centre of activity for almost two centuries, and many of of its
original historical buildings, like the Baptist Church with its
magnificent spire, still stand to this day.

The
modern day town has a lively cultural scene. Steps away from the
picturesque Main Street you'll find the Halton Hills Cultural Centre,
which houses a library, the John Elliot Theatre, art gallery and
meeting room. And you can tour many working studios in the nearby
town of Glen Williams, home to a thriving arts and crafts community.
Georgetown also offers a full selection of modern conveniences as
well as the chance to enjoy annual favourites, like the Fall Fair
and farmers' market, which is open from June to October.
